Paul is originally from South Wales, and wanted to become a vet from his early teens. His weekends and holidays were often spent working on a dairy and sheep farm. Paul qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the University of Edinburgh in 1985 becoming a Batchelor of Veterinary Medicine and Science (BVM&S).
After two years working in North Wales, Paul decided to work exclusively with small animals and started work at Gourley in 1987. He is our senior vet and predominantly consults at our Ashton surgery.

Jack Ashton MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Jack joined the team at Gourleys in September 2021 after graduating from Liverpool university in June 2021. His interests are varied in both veterinary medicine and surgery.
He is predominantly based at the Ashton-Under-Lyne surgery but also travels around our branch clinics treating our many wonderful and interesting patients.

Endika Garcia Ruiz MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Endika joined the team here at Gourley Vets in December 2018. He qualified as a veterinary surgeon at a university in Spain and has a keen interest in ophthalmology.
Endika predominantly consults at our Hyde surgery.

Hannah Hartley MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Hannah qualified from the university of Liverpool in July 2019. She was very keen to begin her career and joined our team immediately after qualifying. She loves all aspects of veterinary medicine. Hannah predominantly consults at our Stalybridge and Ashton surgeries.
Outside of work she loves spending time with her Pyrenean mountain dog ‘Harvey’.

Aggie Kurek
Veterinary Surgeon
After spending time at several other veterinary practices, Aggie joined the Gourley team in July 2020. Aggie qualified in 2016 at the University of Warsaw, Poland.
Aggie is predominantly based at our Droylsden and Newton Heath surgeries.

Gavin McDonagh
Veterinary Surgeon
Gavin joined the team in July 2020. Gavin qualified from Dublin university in 2008, he holds a certificate in small animal surgery and has a special interest in diagnostic imaging.
Gavin is predominantly based at our Ashton-Under-Lyne surgery but on occasion he also consults at our other four clinics in Droylsden, Hyde, Newton Heath and Stalybridge.

Diego Navarro MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Diego gained his degree in veterinary medicine in 1998 at the University of Zaragoza in Spain. He has worked at various practices in the UK since 2001.
Diego joined the team in November 2005, and enjoys both small animal medicine and surgery, including orthopaedic surgery. Diego predominantly consults at our Ashton and Stalybridge surgeries.

Dorota Pereira Golabek MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Dora joined the team in 2016 and predominantly consults at our Droylsden and Newton Heath surgeries. She enjoys internal surgery and is currently completing a certificate in small animal surgery.
