Practice Manager
Rachel joined the practice in 2007 as a receptionist at our Hyde surgery. At the end of 2008 she moved to our main Ashton surgery to become the practice manager.
In her spare time she enjoys walking Bobby, her Cocker Spaniel, and keeping fit.

Jayne Hart
Practice Administrator
Jayne joined the practice in June 2017. She has always worked in an office based environment so thoroughly enjoys the huge variation to her role as practice administrator of the surgery.
Outside of work, Jayne enjoys spending her time with her family and rescue dog called Pebbles. She also enjoys being creative and crafty, creating sweet treats.

Rebecca Roe
Administrator
Rebecca came to our practice over 20 years ago. She began her career with us as a nursing assistant, lasting 17 years, covering the multitude of tasks a nurse is expected to do.
After leaving to have a family Rebecca returned to work part time at our Ashton surgery as an office administrator.

Janet Atherton
Receptionist
Janet joined the team at Gourleys in March 2022. She enjoys that no 2 days are the same and meeting the various patients that visit the practice each day.
She has 2 cats of her own named Wilfred and Darth Vada. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family.

Sylvia Clayton
Receptionist
Sylvia began her career at Gourley Veterinary Surgeons in September 2012, and now works full time at our Ashton surgery. She looked at her new role as an exciting new venture as she had never worked in the veterinary sector before.
She spends her spare time with her family and their mischievous Shih Tzu’s.

Marie Douglas
Receptionist
Marie joined the Gourley Vets team after taking an early retirement from her job as a social worker to pursue a new career. She is based at our Newton Heath surgery where she enjoys being a receptionist as she has the opportunity to meet new people and their wonderful pets.
Marie loves how each animal has it's own characteristics; some are shy, cheeky and very playful, and some are very quiet. Her highlight of the day is when she gets to pet them! Marie has always been a lover of all pets and has a dog herself at home.

Jane Metcalfe
Receptionist
Jane joined the team in April 2015. Having previously worked in the banking industry, veterinary life was a very different career path. Jane enjoys interacting with the clients and their pets. Jane works part time at our Hyde surgery.
Outside of work, Jane spends time with her family and her numerous cats and rabbits.

Fern Mills-Daly
Receptionist
Fern joined the team as a temporary patient care assistant. She quickly became a permanent member of team and is now the receptionist at our Droylsden clinic. Fern loves all aspects of her new position especially meeting clients and their pets.


Wendy Price
Receptionist
Wendy joined the team at Gourley in October 2016 and loves working with animals and interacting with the clients. Wendy works at our Hyde surgery.
Her spare time is spent with her husband; they love to travel and enjoy music festivals. Wendy has a son who bought a new addition to the family in the form of Figo the Dachshund.

Michelle Reilly
Receptionist
Michelle joined the practice in 2008, working full time at our Ashton surgery. She finds her work here is varied and encounters new objectives most days. She has always had a passion for animals and currently has several cats, two of which are Gourley rescue pets.
Michelle’s main passion has always been horses to which her dream came true in 2010 when she became the owner of a beautiful fell pony named Jet, who takes up the majority of her time outside of work.

Sarah Wilson
Receptionist
Sarah joined the team here at Gourley in December 2017, and works at our Stalybridge surgery. She loves the variety of her role and enjoys the client and pet bond. Her favourite part of the job is welcoming new clients and sneaking a cuddle with their pet when she can.
In her spare time, Sarah is busy with her two children and their numerous activities.
